When? March 31 - April 7, 2025
Where? El Cotillo, Fuerteventura
Do you long for:
- A break
- Deep dive into the body
- Releasing tension and stress
- Learn to surf
- Being lulled by the ocean
Then this is a retreat for you!
A week where you can let go of daily routines and let your shoulders sink. Whether you are an experienced yogi or new to surfing, you are welcome!
A week for body, mind and soul
During the week we explore practices and tools that help you reach deeper parts of yourself, through movement, stillness and emotions. All that is needed is a curiosity to get to know yourself on a deeper level. The week provides an opportunity to release the demands of everyday life and land in presence.
We move with the body instead of against it, through dynamic yoga styles such as vinyasa and hatha yoga, combined with softer, nervous system regulating practices such as sensing yoga and fascial maneuvers. You will also try guided breathwork and active meditation to release control, as well as relaxing meditations to help you find rest. All techniques are those that have helped me heal deeply and in which I strongly believe.
All this is included:
7 nights accommodation at our luxurious camp with pool and view over the horizon

A day with us
Maja Torbjörnsdotter
Maja is a passionate yoga and meditation instructor who, through her teaching, inspires presence in the body as the key to a deeper connection with yourself. There is much in our modern world that distracts us from ourselves. Therefore, she believes that daring to stop, feel and experience is the key to living as true a life as possible.
After many years of dealing with mental illness, she realized that the challenge lay not only in stopping, but also in confronting what she most wanted to avoid – the body's signals and her own feelings.
After several years of personal practice and deeper exploration, she decided to share the techniques that helped her, and that continue to help her every day. Trained in vinyasa, hatha, sensing and meditation, she has held over 30 retreats together with The Soul Space and also guides at several studios in Stockholm.
With her newfound love of surfing, a new layer of presence has begun to be explored.
Fuerteventura
When you fly in over Fuerteventura, you immediately see that this place is something very special. The desert landscape with breathtaking nature, majestic volcanoes and crystal clear turquoise water. Among colorful buildings, cozy restaurants, small shops and white beaches lies the charming fishing village of El Cotillo within walking distance of our camp. With a large selection of waves, there is something for all levels. From our surf camp, we are close to the best surf spots, and we always adapt the day's surf lessons to the place with the best waves.
Luxurious accommodation with panoramic views and pool
We stay in a large, modern villa that is located high up with fantastic panoramic views of the sea, the volcanoes and the impressive sunset. There is plenty of space to socialize and relax on the large terrace with sun all day and a pool where you can cool off. The villa's large glass sections let in lots of natural light in the shared living room. The rooms are divided among the week's guests and you share bedroom with other guests, usually 2–4 people.
Content
Slow Flow (Vinyasa)
A slower form of vinyasa yoga where movement and breath are synchronized in a meditative flow. The focus is on strength, awareness and presence.
Sensing Yoga
Natural, soft movements without alignments or demands. Through rocking, shaking and body yawns, the fascia is softened, which benefits both body and mind.
Fascial Maneuvers
A combination of movement, breath and intention that releases blockages and increases freedom of movement in the connective tissue.
Active meditations
Combines movement, sound and expression to release tension and create space for stillness. Perfect for those who find it difficult to sit still, as the body is first activated before relaxation and presence sets in.
Passive meditations
Is about calming the mind and being present by observing breathing, body or thoughts without judging. The goal is to achieve calm, clarity and awareness.
Breathwork
Conscious breathing to release stress, increase energy and create balance. A simple way to find calm and presence.
