Our home is nestled in the enchanting surf village of Baleal, one of Europe’s most beloved destinations. Located just minutes from our surf villa are world-renowned waves, we take our guests away from the ordinary everyday life and immerse them in the fantastic world of surf culture.

In the heart of Baleal, our magical little surf village, is where our popular surf camp is located. The area is incredibly beautiful and also ranks as one of Europe’s most popular surf destinations. Additionally, we live so close to the sea that we have walking distance to both small beginner-friendly waves and faster, larger waves. Here at Magnus & friends, we take our guests out of their daily routines and immerse them in the wonderful world of surf culture, with a vision of joy, quality and consideration.

Our staff accommodation is a comfortable place for relaxation and socializing. The accommodation consists of a cozy living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The staff accommodation is shared with several colleagues in the team and is located just a few minutes’ walk from both guest accommodations and the beach.

Norwegian-speaking tour guide/surfcamp staff member

As a Norwegian-speaking tour guide/surf camp employee, you have a vital role in ensuring our guests have an absolutely fantastic week. A typical day may include everything from beach play in the sun with the children, preparing breakfast for the guests and cleaning their rooms, accompanying them to one of our local bars for an aftersurf together at sunset, picking up guests from the airport, or joining an excursion to our local vineyard or the amazing fairy tale island of Berlengas. A significant part of your work will also involve administrative tasks such as translating Swedish texts into Norwegian. Therefore, we prefer that you feel confident in your writing ability in both Swedish and Norwegian.

Main tasks:

Ensure that the guests have a great time and a wonderful week.
Implement our core values of adrenaline, joy, and quality into practice.
Prepare breakfast for the guests and buy groceries.
Together with the rest of the team, ensure that the camp is clean and tidy and take care of the garden.
Drive the transfer bus.
Organize activities such as games with the children, welcome and last night dinners, and other activities depending on the target group for the week.
Take registrations for special activities, restaurant visits, etc, and convey them to the booking manager.
Perform tasks delegated by the camp manager/assistant camp manager.
Implement new ideas that develop and improve our business.
Surf and enjoy the summer, the people, and the surf culture in Portugal!

We prefer that you have the following skills/experience:

Good writing ability in both Norwegian and Swedish.
Passion for surfing, traveling, and inspiring others.
Nothing is impossible – attitude.
Attentive, detail-oriented, and efficient.
Flexible, service-minded, and well-organized.
Experience in customer service, tourism, or sales is meritorious.
Driver’s license is meritorious.

Salary and benefits

Monthly compensation as per agreement and other salary benefits.
